Blockbuster pushes back meeting

Annual get-together in Dallas to take place June 24

NEW YORK -- Blockbuster on Friday said it will push back its annual stockholders meeting by several weeks to focus on wrapping up its recapitalization efforts.

The Dallas meeting, originally set for May 26, will now take place on June 24.

"We believe the additional time will provide us with the greatest opportunity to successfully complete one or more of our ongoing recapitalization initiatives prior to the annual meeting, possibly resolving our NYSE non-compliance and avoiding the need for a reverse stock split," said CFO Tom Casey.
