Based on the Oscar-winning short film and published last year, 'Hair Love' tells the story of a Black father learning to style his daughter's hair.

Blue Ivy Carter is joining the audiobook world.

The eight-year-old daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z will narrate the audiobook production of Matthew A. Cherry's Hair Love, he announced on his social media Monday. Cherry also shared a sample of Carter's narration of the children's book illustrated by Vashti Harrison.

The Hair Love audiobook is produced and published by Dreamscape Media.

Based on the Oscar-winning short film and New York Times bestseller published last year by Kokila, Hair Love tells the story of a Black father learning to style his daughter Zuri's hair for the first time.

It was announced earlier this year that HBO Max has ordered a 12-episode animated series called Young Love, based on Hair Love's characters.

The audiobook is available now in the U.S. and Canada and also available for free to anyone with a valid library card, via the digital library service hoopla digital.

In addition to the audiobook, Carter recently appeared in Beyoncé's Black Is King visual album which debuted on Disney Plus in July. The eight-year-old is also now recognized as the youngest recipient of a BET Award after winning for Beyonce's song "Brown Skin Girl." The song also secured wins at the 51st NAACP Image Awards.
