BNC refocus puts Kay in media control
EmptyPublic relations and marketing firm Bragman Ny-man Cafa-relli has re-structured its corporate and entertainment departments into a newly formed media relations division. The unit will be headed by BNC senior vp Lewis Kay.
In his new role, Kay will lead business development for and administration of the agency's media relations area. As part of the reorganization, he has made several hires and promotions: Joanna Chichocki has been upped from account executive to senior account executive, former MPRM digital media expert Ayn Allen has been named senior account executive, former Warner Bros. feature executive Allegra Haddigan has been hired as an account executive, and former Twentieth Television staffer Leslie Juarez has joined as junior account executive.
BNC said the reorganization is in response to a changing news media landscape as well as the recent addition of several new clients, including Norman Lear's 2008 youth voter initiative, Declare Yourself; New Line Consumer Products; Gene Simmons' NoGoodTV; Amazon.com; CNET Networks Entertainment; Avon; Indy Racing League; and Sony Cierge.
The announcement was made by CEO Michael Nyman and president Chris Robichaud, to whom Kay will report. Brad Cafarelli will continue to serve as vice chairman.

Kay has been with BNC for 10 years, playing a key role in its growth. He will continue to represent such lifestyle and entertainment clients as Sam Nazarian's SBE Entertainment, Maxim magazine, Jimmy Kimmel, Rebecca Romijn, Amy Poehler, Will Arnett, Jenna Fisher and John Stamos. BNC vp Rick Jennings will continue to work alongside Kay, focusing on corporate media accounts.
