'Bo' knows France 5

TORONTO -- With MIPTV just around the corner, Canadian producer Halifax Film on Tuesday said it has sold the first two seasons of its preschool series "Bo On the GO!" to France 5.

Nova Scotia-based Halifax Film said the French broadcaster acquired 40 half-hours of the series about a young heroine that employs motion capture technology and computer generated animation.

Other Canadian sales announced ahead of MIPTV include the sale of "Are We There Yet?," a live-action kids series from Toronto-based Sinking Ship Entertainment that has been purchased by Disney Japan, SVT Sweden, TV Nanny Russia, Duna TV Hungary, Zebra Channel Romania and Al-Jazeera Middle East.

The Canadian series, which is produced in association with National Geographic Kids Entertainment, portrays young sibling duos on round-the-world travels.
