Break Media Hires Chief Financial Officer, Chief Technology Officer
Two new hires join Break, now the 34th largest Web property.
Break Media is adding to its executive ranks.
Andrew Doyle and David Subar have been hired as chief financial officer and chief technology officer, respectively. Both will be based in the digital video company's Los Angeles office, with Subar responsible for product management and development and Doyle overseeing the company's financial operations and strategic planning.
In the last year, Break has grown into a top five video ad network, reaching more than 140 million unique visitors and streaming 2 billion-plus videos each month. According to comScore, Break.com is now the top comedy destination online, with the company ramping up its original video production arm.
“Our growth in recent years has been nothing short of explosive, and continuing to build out our leadership team to help sustain that growth is one of my top priorities,” said the company's chief executive Keith Richman.
Subar comes to Break from Oversee.net, where he served as CTO. Prior to that, he held positions at PeopleLink and Interthinx and founded game development company Interna. Doyle previously served as chief of staff to the chief executive of Activision-Blizzard. Their hires follow the recent addition of former talent agent Greg Siegel, now senior vp entertainment development.
