Brenton Thwaites is leading Entry Level.
The actor, who will next be seen in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, is set to star in the indie action-thriller written by Benjamin Hurley and directed by Franck Khalfoun.
Entry Level sees Thwaites as Marcus Delany, a young man who mysteriously awakens in a high-security office building and is forced by a stranger to complete a strictly timed series of dangerous tasks that implicate him in a deadly crime with global consequences.
Craig Perry and Sheila Taylor (of the Final Destination and American Pie franchises) of Practical Pictures are producing with Tom Butterfield of Content Media. Dan Spilo of Industry Entertainment will executive produce. The film is set to begin shooting in early 2017.
13 Films is handling international sales at AFM.
Thwaites — previously seen in The Giver, Oculus and Maleficent — has also lined up Perry Lang’s An Interview With God, Todd Komarnicki’s drama The God Four and Lin Oeding’s zombie comedy Office Uprising, as well as Disney’s Maleficent sequel. He is repped by WME and Industry Entertainment.
