Brian Austin Green eyes 'Desperate' role

Actor in talks for recurring role on ABC series

Brian Austin Green is close to a deal to join ABC's hit primetime soap "Desperate Housewives."

The newlywed husband to Megan Fox is near an agreement to have a major recurring role on the drama next season.

He'll play "Keith," a contractor who turns up the heat on Wisteria Lane as a potential love interest to one of the housewives.

The former star of the original "Beverly Hills 90210" has landed a couple major series on TV in recent years, including a recurring role on the CW's "Smallville," as well as a series regular role on Fox's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles."

Green is repped by APA, managed by Tracy Samuels and his attorney Joel McKuin.
