"She looks like a Golden Globe!" says artist Rachel Goodwin.

Awards season has just begun, but the one name already on everyone’s lips this season is Brie Larson. Winning for her work in Room, the young starlet is quickly becoming as recognized for her acting as she is for her red-carpet presence, including her fierce Golden Globes makeup.

"The dress informed everything. It was magical," says makeup artist Rachel Goodwin, who created Larson’s glowing head-to-toe look on Sunday. "It has this laid-back '70s vibe," she added, which prompted her to turn to such famous faces of the decade as Cybill Shepherd and Jessica Lange for inspiration.

"I wanted [Brie] to feel herself. That’s what we were really going for," says Goodwin, who started by enhancing Larson's already radiant complexion with Chanel Perfection Lumière Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in 50 Beige ($58), followed by Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base ($50) to sculpt the cheeks. Under the eyes, Goodwin used Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Sheer Illuminating Fluid ($48) for a highlighting effect.

To achieve Larsen’s glowing gaze, Larson used Chanel Illusion d'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Convoitise ("so that when she looked down, you’d see just a peek-a-boo of gold shadow," says Goodwin), and rounded out the look with a pale pink swipe of lipstick using Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo Complete Care Lipshine in Script ($37).

Added Goodwin, "I wanted her to look back on this moment years from now and love how she looks still."
