'Bring It On' Musical Readying for Its Los Angeles Run

The production kicks off its national tour on Friday at the Ahmanson Theatre.

Bring It On: The Musical is readying for its Los Angeles run when it opens Friday at the Center Group Theatre's Ahmanson Theatre, which also marks its national tour kickoff. Currently in previews, the musical production will continue its run through Dec. 10.

Bring It On: The Musical, inspired by the movies, is set in the world of competitive cheerleading and high school rivalries.

The cast features Taylor Louderman, Adrienne Warren, Ryann Redmond, Elle McLemore, Jason Gotay, Ariana DeBose, Gregory Haney, Neil Haskell, Janet Krupin, Kate Rockwell, Nick Womack, Calli Alden, Nikki Bohne, Dexter Carr, Shonica Gooden, Haley Hannah, Rod Harrelson, Casey Jamerson, Dominique Johnson, Michael Mindlin, Adrianna Parson and Bettis Richardson.

From Jeff Whitty, Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights), Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), Amanda Green (High Fidelity) and Alex Lacamoire (In the Heights). The production is directed and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler (In the Heights).

Bring It On: The Musical is produced by Universal Pictures Stage Productions/Glenn Ross, Beacon Communications/Armyan Bernstein and Charlie Lyons and Kristin Caskey and Mike Isaacson.

The Bring It On franchise produced five films, the first of which starred Kirsten Dunst, Eliza Dushku and Jesse Bradford and grossed $68.4 million in the domestic box office in 2000, according to Box Office Mojo.
