Brit Producer Daniel Emmerson Joins Michael Fassbender's Production Company

London-based DMC Film, which Fassbender set up with producer Conor McCaughan, is in post on its first feature “Slow West.”

British producer Daniel Emmerson has joined DMC Film, the London-based shingle run by Michael Fassbender and Eden Lake producer Conor McCaughan.

DMC is starting to ramp up its slate, starting with the dark Western Slow West, the feature debut from director John Maclean. Maclean's short film Pitch Black Heist, which DMC also produced, won the BAFTA award for best short film in 2012.

Fassbender co-stars in Slow West, which is currently in post. DMC is also adapting hit video game Assassin's Creed together with Ubisoft and New Regency, with shooting set to start in 2015.

Projects Emmerson has brought with him to DMC include Fagin's Kitchen, which is being co-developed with Film4. Kibwe Tavares is attached to direct from a script by Daniel Kaluuya.
