British Designer Roksanda Illincic Nabs British and Hollywood Royalty
One of Britain's rising red carpet stars is worn by Emma Stone and Princess Beatrice of York.
The Hollywood Reporter has met tall blonde statuesque designer Roksanda Illincic twice now, when she's brought both her spring 2012 and then fall 2012 collections to the "London Showrooms" events at the Ace Gallery, where she showed looks to editors and stylists along with rising British talent Mary Katrantzou and Jonathan Saunders. This week, the former model scored two major red carpet gets in two of her two-tone fall dress looks: Emma Stone and Princess Beatrice of York.
Stone's been getting nothing but amazing feedback on her extensive Spiderman promotional wardrobe, which has run the gamut from black tulle fall Gucci gowns to white lace and floral Dolce sheaths - she even wore a Burberry fall 2012 t-shirt the other day with a dog on it -- no doubt, that shirt will wind up one of the season's best sellers now. In Madrid this week, she wore a Roksanda Illincic fall 2012 claret colored sleeveless shift, over the knee, with a cobalt blue bright flounce on the bottom. The ruffled hem and peplum waist (look for it all over Burberry fall 2012) are huge fall trends - as is the two-tone look that Illincic employed here. Blue is another statement from the fall runways that is already hitting the summer red carpet circuit. It's amazing how Stone managed to hit almost all of them here. She and her stylist Petra Flannery are on a crazy roll.
Princess Beatrice wore the British designer's cream long sleathed sheath with royal blue cuffs (two tone again, this time more subtle) to the Britain Creates big arts forum in London this week, giving Illincic one A-list star and one royal for the week -- not bad.
