Britney Spears Sets 2019 'Domination' Las Vegas Residency
The pop superstar is making her official return to Sin City starting in February.
Britney Spears is ready to dominate Sin City — again.
The pop superstar on Thursday night announced that she is returning to Las Vegas with an all-new residency. Spears' upcoming concert series, titled Britney: Domination, will be held at the Park Theater at Park MGM starting in February.
The Grammy winner announced the news on Ellen DeGeneres' YouTube channel in a half-hour reveal from Park MGM, which included a parade, pyrotechnics and a Britney Spears-inspired light show displayed across the front of the hotel as the singer's catalog of hits blasted over loud speakers. Spears — dressed in a black minidress — then emerged from a stage and proceeded to walk down a red carpet, where she greeted fans and signed autographs.
"I am so happy to be returning to my second home — Las Vegas!" Spears said in a statement. "I’m working on a brand new show and I’m so excited for my fans to see it! It’s going to be so much fun being back onstage and I can’t wait to perform at Park Theater."
Excited to be returning to Vegas in February 2019 at the @ParkTheaterLV with a brand new show!!! Tickets go on sale Friday, October 26th, and fans on my mailing list will have access to an exclusive pre-sale at 10am PT tomorrow! #BritneyDomination https://t.co/bZusGFxVMb pic.twitter.com/Bzgc22vsNS— Britney Spears (@britneyspears) October 19, 2018
Bill Hornbuckle, president of MGM Resorts International, added: "Britney Spears has been a fan favorite in the pop music world and a leader in the entertainment industry for more than 20 years. We’ve enjoyed a great relationship with her team throughout the years, so bringing the Queen of Pop to Park MGM and adding her to our resident artist lineup is exciting for me personally as well as for our company. We look forward to her grand opening in February when her fans will rock Park Theater."
Spears made her Las Vegas debut in December 2013 with her Piece of Me residency, which spanned 248 performances and raked in $137.7 million during its four-year stay at Planet Hollywood. Spears' success on the Strip has inspired a string of her pop contemporaries — including Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani and Lady Gaga, among others — to also take up Las Vegas residencies.
Following her stint at Planet Hollywood, Spears toured her Piece of Me show on the East Coast and then treated European fans to a set of concerts overseas. She has one more date left in Austin, Texas, on Oct. 21. The "Toxic" songstress previously took the show to Asia for a summer tour in 2017.
Tickets for Britney: Domination go on sale Friday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. PT. Watch the live announcement below.
