The troubled musical gets a new release date.

Broadway's much-delayed production of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark has a new opening date -- June 14.

The play’s producers announced the new date on Friday, adding that the production will cancel preview performances from April 19 to May 11. The canceled performances are needed to implement changes in the play and allow rehearsals.

Preview performances will resume on May 12.

Ticketholders for cancelled performances will have the option of exchanging or returning their tickets. The play has undergone six opening night changes during it’s short and troubled history.

The play's producers announced this week that Julie Taymor will be stepping aside as the play's director and a new creative team has been brought in.
