Bruce Willis throws out the first pitch May 15 at Citizens Bank Park.

It wasn't the worst celebrity effort ever (see 50 Cent's), but it was enough for the crowd inside Citizens Bank Park to let the actor hear it.

And the crowd goes — not wild.

Bruce Willis was booed after he threw out a weak first pitch on Wednesday night before the Philadelphia Phillies took on the Milwaukee Brewers.

Donning a Phillies jersey, the Die Hard actor tossed a first pitch that bounced into the catcher's glove.

Not the worst celebrity first pitch ever (see 50 Cent's), but it was enough for the crowd inside Citizens Bank Park to let the actor hear it.

Willis did not seem to care about the reaction and was all smiles as he shook hands with pitcher Aaron Nola, who was acting as catcher for the attempt.

Willis is a well-known Phillies fan.

Later on, his wife, Emma Heming Willis, weighed in on social media.

A Twitter user by the name of Kevin said fans were not booing but rather saying "BRUUUUUUUUCE."

"Thank you Kevin. Happy someone cleared that up," Heming Willis posted.
