Fox drama will begin airing in the spring

LONDON -- BSkyB's Sky1 channel has picked up U.K. rights to Fox drama "Lie to Me," which stars Tim Roth as a crime-fighting deception expert who can read clues in the human face.

BSkyB has picked up free and pay TV rights as well as nonexclusive rights for VOD and download-to-own. It also will broadcast the show in HD.

The deal was brokered by David Smyth, head of acquisitions for Sky1, Sky2 and Sky3, and will begin airing in the U.K. in the spring.
