CEO Jeremy Darroch addresses investor confab

NEW YORK -- U.K. satellite TV giant BSkyB has seen "no material impact" from a weakening economy, CEO Jeremy Darroch told the Goldman Sachs Communacopia investor conference here Wednesday morning.

Asked about the U.K. advertising market, he said: "In the short term, it remains difficult."

But TV ads only make up 6% of BSkyB's overall revenue, and the company expects to outperform the overall market, he highlighted.

Recent U.K ad trends for August and beyond look "worse" though, Darroch offered.
