'Burn Notice' Star Jeffrey Donovan Joins Zac Efron in Ted Bundy Movie (Exclusive)
Efron is starring in the drama as the notorious serial killer.
Jeffrey Donovan, who toplined seven seasons of USA's Burn Notice, has joined Zac Efron in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, the drama centering on serial killer Ted Bundy.
John Malkovich and Lily Collins are already on the call sheet for the movie, currently shooting in Covington, Kentucky.
Joe Berlinger (Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory) is in the director's seat.
Michael Werwie wrote the script, which tells Bundy's story via the perspective of his girlfriend (Collins), who allegedly had no knowledge of the murders while they were together but saw her boyfriend become America's most famous killer when his trial was nationally televised.
Donovan will play John O'Connell, one of Utah's top defense attorneys, who was Bundy's first lawyer.
Michael Costigan, Michael Simkin, Ara Keshishian, Nicolas Chartier are producing.
Donovan is coming off season two of Hulu's crime drama Shut-Eye and appeared in TV's Fargo. His next big-screen presence will be in Sicario 2: Soldado, which opens June 29.
