Busta Rhymes Charged With Assault for Throwing Protein Shake in Gym

The rapper allegedly got into a fight with another member of the NYC fitness spot.

Busta Rhymes was arrested after allegedly throwing a protein shake at another man at a New York gym on Wednesday night, according to various reports. 

The 43-year-old rapper and actor, whose real name is Trevor Tahiem Smith Jr., was arrested around 8:30 p.m. at Steel Gym on 143 W. 23rd St. 

Rhymes reportedly got into a fight with another member of the Chelsea fitness spot and allegedly threw a protein drink at the man.

The artist was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree. It's unclear if the victim was injured in the incident.

His forthcoming 10th studio album, E.L.E.2 (Extinction Level Event 2), is a sequel to his 1998 album, E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front.
