New York Film Fest Highlights Vincent van Gogh Movie and 'Beale Street' in Trailer for 2018 Edition

Other movies set to screen at the 56th edition, which kicks off next week, include 'The Favourite,' 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs,' 'Roma' and Orson Welles' recently completed final film 'The Other Side of the Wind.'

The New York Film Festival has released the trailer for its 2018 edition.

The preview begins with images and audio from the festival's Closing Night title, At Eternity's Gate, starring Willem Dafoe as Vincent van Gogh, before jumping to quick cuts from other movies set to screen at the festival, including Alex Ross Perry's Her Smell, the Coen brothers' The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, Barry Jenkins' If Beale Street Could Talk, Alfonso Cuaron's Roma and Yorgos Lanthimos' The Favourite.

The trailer also highlights the festival's documentary selections, including Watergate, with a clip of Richard Nixon saying, "I have never obstructed justice."

The festival will also screen Orson Welles' recently completed final feature, The Other Side of the Wind, as well as They'll Love Me When I'm Dead (Morgan Neville's documentary about the making of the recent Welles movie), along with numerous other titles.

The New York Film Festival runs from Sept. 28-Oct. 14.
