The keyboardist is a Tony winner for composing the Broadway musical 'Memphis.'

CAA has signed Bon Jovi's David Bryan for individual representation, The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard have exclusively learned. The Grammy-winning band already is a longtime touring client of the agency.

CAA will represent Bryan in his second career as a musical theater composer, which he balances with playing keys for Bon Jovi since its founding 33 years ago. Bryan composed, orchestrated and co-wrote the lyrics for the original Broadway musical Memphis, which won five Tonys in 2010, including two for Bryan as well as best musical. He also received two Drama Desk Awards for music and orchestrations for the show.

Memphis also won outstanding new Broadway musical at the 2009-10 Outer Critics Circle Awards. The season before, Bryan's musical The Toxic Avenger (an adaptation of the Lloyd Kaufman B-horror comedy) won the Outer Critics Circle award for outstanding new off-Broadway musical. Bryan now is developing the musical Chasing the Song.
