CAA Signs ‘Generation Iron’ Producers (Exclusive)

The Vladar Company’s Vlad Yudin and Edwin Mejia produced the 2013 bodybuilding documentary.

CAA has signed The Vladar Company, the production company behind the 2013 documentary Generation Iron, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.

The documentary, which followed elite bodybuilders training for the Mr. Olympia competition, was written and directed by Vladar principal Vlad Yudin and narrated by Mickey Rourke. It was released theatrically last fall and licensed to Starz for VOD and DVD.

CAA will help the indie studio, founded by Yudin and producing partner Edwin Mejia, expand its production, financing and distribution slate, which for this year includes a documentary about fashion designer Jeremy Scott and an adaptation of novel The French Executioner by C.C. Humphreys.
