CAA has signed YouTube animator and comedian Adande Thorne, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Thorne, who goes by the name Swoozie on his YouTube channel, is known for his videos featuring animated stick figures. His most popular of those videos, Cheating in Middle School, has amassed more than 11 million views since it was posted two years ago. Other popular videos include Confessions of a Disney Employee, which has been viewed more than 10 million times, and Video Game Girlfriend, which has more than 7.8 million views on YouTube. His channel, which features a mix of animated videos, vlogs and comic clips, has more than 2.7 million subscribers.
Thorne is set to co-star in Bob Thunder: Internet Assassin, an upcoming film from FilmOn.com and Relativity Digital Studios. The film, which is set to premiere June 27 in theaters and on VOD, stars a dozen YouTubers — including Chester See and Olga Kay — in a story about an assassin who targets YouTube creators and replaces them with robot clones. Thorne also regularly appears in YouTubers React, a series from YouTube stars and producers the Fine Brothers.
CAA will work with Thorne in all areas. He continues to be managed by Untitled Entertainment.
