CAA agent Michael Kives opened the doors to his Hollywood Hills home on Monday night to host eight state governors from across the U.S. to mix and mingle with a list of prominent industry names.

Taking advantage of the Democratic Governors Association holiday party and meeting — currently taking place in Los Angeles on Dec. 8-9 — Kives’ cocktail party drew the following governors: Vermont’s Peter Shumlin, Maryland’s Martin O’Malley, Montana’s Steve Bullock, Connecticut’s Dannel Malloy, New Hampshire’s Maggie Hassan, Washington’s Jay Inslee, Pennsylvania’s Tom Wolf, and Virginia’s Terry McAuliffe.

The evening soiree, that saw guests sipping on XXIV Karat Grand Cuvee champagne, also drew Haim Saban, Kate Hudson, Bill Maher, Warner Bros.’ Greg Silverman, former L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Doug Ellin, Stephen Merchant, Michelle MacLaren, Jon Lovett and Eric Stonestreet

Kives, named to The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen class of 2012, previously worked in politics for former President Bill Clinton before joining CAA.
