Cablevision expands VOD offer

Addition of content from eight cable networks.

NEW YORK -- Cablevision Systems is expanding its free VOD program offerings available to digital TV subscribers with the addition of content from eight cable networks.

The networks are CNN, the newly rebranded SyFy, A&E, The History Channel, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang and TruTV.

The added VOD content is available starting this week to customers across Cablevision's New York metropolitan service area.

"Cablevision is pleased to increase the entertainment options available to our customers through the addition of quality On-Demand programming from these leading cable networks," said Gary Schanman, senior vp of video product management.
