Jill Schwartz joins High Noon from Fox Television Studios
High Noon Entertainment, the producer behind TLC's Cake Boss, has hired Jill Schwartz as its new head of development. Schwartz, who comes from Fox Television Studios, will be based in Los Angeles and report to Jim Berger, CEO of High Noon.
In her new position, she will manage the company's development slate and development team of 10, who are based in L.A. and Denver. She will be charged with generating new docuseries and creating original formats for cable and broadcast networks.
"Jill’s reputation in the community is stellar and her experience is vast — from game to docu to format, she’s accomplished it all and successfully,” said Berger. “She’s a perfect fit for our team, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her driving our development efforts.”
Prior to Fox TV Studios, Schwartz spent a decade at FremantleMedia North America where she oversaw production on the first five seasons of American Idol, in addition to Family Feud, Match Game and To Tell the Truth. She was also an international liaison for Fremantle Worldwide, overseeing formats such as The Apprentice, America's Got Talent, American Inventor and Thank God You're Here.
