Camp, Thompson make next choice

Writer-producers Brandon Camp and Mike Thompson are following up their Jennifer Aniston Universal drama "Traveling" with their screenplay "Choose." They're producing with Allen Bain and Jesse Scolaro's shingle the 7th Floor in association with 7th & Irving's Patrick Mo. It's the feature directing debut of Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Robert Legato.

Katheryn Winnick stars as a journalism grad student who attempts to track down a vengeful killer (Nicholas Tucci) with the help of her detective father (Kevin Pollak) and a shrink (Bruce Dern). It's now filming in New York.

The executive producer is Michael Bassick of Markedia Worldwide, which is financing the project with the 7th Floor.

The UTA/Mark Schumacher Management-repped Winnick appears next in New Line's "Amusement," then opposite Paul Giamatti in "Cold Souls."

Legato, Pollak, Thompson and "Traveling" helmer Camp are repped by ICM. WMI is repping domestic sales, and Velvet Octopus is handling international. (partialdiff)
