Canada's Comedy Network nabs 'Gotham'

TORONTO -- The Comedy Network, Canada's cable comedy channel, said Thursday that it has bought U.S.-based Comedy Central's stand-up series "Live at Gotham" for Monday nights.

Comedy Network, owned and operated by CTVglobemedia, will air the TV showcase of fresh comic talent appearing on-stage at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York beginning Oct. 22.

In June, the Comedy Network signed an output deal with Viacom that gives the cable channel the exclusive Canadian rights to current and past Comedy Central content.
