Canada's Endeavour Marketing Winds Down With Creditor Notice
The move follows the loss of a major advertising client.
TORONTO -- Canadian advertising firm Endeavour Marketing and Communications is winding down its operations.
A proof of claim, signed by company chairman Larry Latowsky and obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, indicates that as of February 28, 2013, Endeavour is “being wound up so that assets can be monetized and distributed to creditors.”
A separate email sent to Endeavour clients on February 28, also obtained by THR, indicated a change of Toronto location to launch a new agency.
BDO Canada has been retained to lead the process, which is expected to take six to eight weeks to complete.
Endeavour was launched in 2005.
The firm was recently hit by the loss of a major advertising client, Entertainment One, to rival Vizeum.
A spokeswoman for the Canadian producer/distributor in a statement said it had been informed that Endeavour "has ceased operations," and that eOne had moved its Canadian advertising business to Vizeum.
