Canada's Junos Names Classified, Johnny Reid, Serena Ryder as Co-Hosts

A rapper, a country music star and a former folk singer have been tapped to emcee the country's music awards March 30.

TORONTO - Canadian artists Classified, Johnny Reid and Serena Ryder are to co-host the Junos, Canada's music awards, on March 30.

Ryder is headed to the Junos with five nominations, and will perform together with rapper Classified to open the awards show in Winnipeg.

"With Classified, Johnny Reid, and Serena Ryder, we are privileged to have an incredible cross section of diverse musical talent taking the helm at this year’s 2014 Juno Awards," Phil King, president of CTV, sports and entertainment programming, said Tuesday in a statement.

Ryder and Classified will join previously announced Juno performers Robin Thicke, Brett Kissel, Dean Brody, Gord Bamford, Tegan and Sara and Walk Off The Earth.

The Junos, organized by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, will air live on the CTV network.
