Canada's Just for Laughs Launches SiriusXM Radio Channel

In NBC's Next Caller Please, Cook would make his series TV debut as Cam Doherty, a brash alpha male DJ who doesn't like that his satellite radio station co-host is a woman. Weeds producer Stephen Falk will write and executive produce the project.

The comedy festival will offer a 24/7 service featuring veteran stand-ups like Dane Cook, Greg Giraldo, Dave Chappelle, Mitch Hedberg, Aziz Ansari and Russell Peters.

TORONTO – Canada's Just for Laughs is making the leap to radio.

SiriusXM Radio has pacted with the Montreal comedy festival group to launch a 24/7 channel offering over 30 years of stand-up comedy from the Just for Laughs vault.

The digital radio channel will feature comedy routines from veteran stand-ups like Greg Giraldo, Dave Chappelle, Dane Cook, Mitch Hedberg, Aziz Ansari and Russell Peters, who have performed at the must-see Montreal festival for Hollywood agents and talent scouts.

"The Just for Laughs festival's international reach and rich archive of stand-up material is a valuable addition to our comedy offering," said Scott Greenstein, president and chief content officer at SiriusXM, in a statement Wednesday.

The channel will debut Thursday on channel 403 on SiriusXM radio, and be available via the Sirius radio app on smartphones or online at
