The latest Starz agreement will bolster the national pay-TV operator as it competes with regional powerhouses The Movie Network and Movie Central and their long-standing programming pipeline from HBO and Showtime.

Other Starz series to come to Super Channel include The White Queen, starring Max Irons and Rebecca Ferguson, and Black Sails, from executive producer Michael Bay, debuting in early 2014.

“We have maintained a long and fruitful relationship with Super Channel and are really excited to solidify that relationship with this multi-year commitment,” said Gene George, executive vp of worldwide distribution for Starz.

The deal also brings to Super Channel a supply of movie titles from Starz Worldwide Distribution, including Silent Night, Wicker Tree and Hatfield & McCoys: Bad Blood.
