Cannes: Kino Lorber Takes Award-Winning 'The Measure of a Man'
Vincent Lindon was named best actor for his work in Stephane Brize's film.
Kino Lorber has acquired all U.S. and Canadian rights to Stephane Brize’s The Measure of a Man, which earned its star Vincent Lindon the best actor award at the Cannes Film Festival.
The film, which Brize also co-wrote with Olivier Gorce, stars Lindon as a French factory worker who goes to work as a security guard after he is laid off from his job.
Kino Lorber, which released Brize’s Mademoiselle Chambon in the U.S., is planning to release the film in theaters in the fall after it plays North American festival dates. Home media and digital releases will follow in 2016.
The deal was negotiated between Kino Lorber CEO Richard Lorber and MK2’s international sales and business development executive Victoire Thevenin.
