Cannes: Aidy Bryant Joins Judd Apatow-Produced 'The Big Sick'
FilmNation is fully financing the ensemble comedy, which started shooting this week in New York City.
Saturday Night Live regular Aidy Bryant and stand-up comics Bo Burnham and Kurt Braunohler have joined the cast of FilmNation's The Big Sick, starring Kumail Nanjiani, Holly Hunter, Zoe Kazan and Ray Romano.
Bollywood star Anupam Keher and Broadway's Linda Emond have also come aboard the ensemble comedy, which Judd Apatow's Apatow Productions is producing alongside FilmNation.
UTA Indpendent is repping U.S. rights, while FilmNation is fully financing the film and handling international.
Michael Showalter (Hello, My Name Is Doris) is directing from a script Nanjiani wrote with this wife, writer-producer Emily V. Gordon, that draws from events in their own lives. Production began this week in New York City.
Burnham's credits include Key & Peele and Parks and Recreation, while Braunohler was recently named a "Comic to Watch" by Comedy Central.
