Anne Heche (Donnie Brasco) and Thomas Jane (Boogie Nights) are set to star in Salvage, a sci-fi action feature from Shane Dax Taylor (Bloodworth), which he co-wrote with Chad Law (Hero Wanted).

The new project was announced in Cannes by Wonderfilm Global.

Salvage will tell the story of two couples fighting to survive on a houseboat as it moves down river in a post-apocalyptic America: Everyone is out for their own survival, nothing is as it was and brutality is the new normal. Each of the characters discover sides of themselves they never knew existed, some valiant and some violent.

The film also boasts an original score composed by Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains.

Producers include Steven Schneider (Paranormal Activity) and Taylor. Executive producers on the film are Stuart Manashil, Corky Taylor, Jeff Bowler and Bret Saxon.

“We’re excited to introduce Salvage to the industry for the first time in Cannes,” said Wonderfilm Global CEO Andy Lyon. “This film is shaping up to raise the genre bar to a new level with a phenomenal cast, an enthralling script and a truly remarkable team in front of and behind the cameras.”
