Cannes to Fall in 'Love' with Kapoor's 'Bollywood'

The 2010 jury member made the film to highlight Indian culture identity.

PARIS -- This year's Festival de Cannes will have heart, with Shekhar Kapoor's exclusive made-for-Cannes title Bollywood, The Greatest Love Story Ever Told set to screen out of competition at this year's event, organizers announced on Friday.

While a member of the Cannes jury in 2010, Kapoor decided to make a film bringing together the most beautiful moments in the history of Indian musical films. Kapoor, along with directors Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Jeff Zimbalist pay tribute to Bollywood and Indian cultural identity in the feature film that will hold its world premiere at the Palais.

The Festival de Cannes runs May 11-22.
