Cannes Exclusive: Germany's Veronica Ferres Joins 'A Three Dog Life'

She'll star opposite John Travolta and Salma Hayek in the big-screen adaptation of Abigail Thomas' best-selling memoir.

CANNES – Well-known German film and television actress Veronica Ferres has joined the cast of A Three Dog Life, from writer-director Nick Guthe.

John Travolta and Salma Hayek are already set to play the leads in the big-screen adaptation of Abigail Thomas' best-selling memoir about a car accident that leaves her husband with no memory.

The Solution Entertainment Group's Lisa Wilson is selling the film internationally for producers J. Todd Harris, Clark Peterson and Guthe.
"As a multi-award-winning actress, Veronica Ferres' attachment delightfully elevates what is already a phenomenal cast with the talented Salma Hayek and incomparable John Travolta already on board,” said Wilson. “All of these actors are perfectly cast to breathe life into Abigail's touching story.”

Well known across Europe, Ferres has appeared in more than 20 films, including the Oscar-nominated Schtonk! (1992). She's also starred in numerous television movies, and won a veriety of awards for The Manns. Her next two films are Hector and the Search for Happiness, starring Simon Pegg, and The Casanova Variations, in which she stars opposite John Malkovich.

Hayek, Travolta and Ferres will attend the Cannes Film Festival this year for various projects.

CAA and WME Global are co-representing U.S. rights to A Three Dog Life.
