But that's not to say that 6-foot-1 stunner is leaving the hard work to heavenly creatures like the L'Oreal stylist. In fact, she put a lot of thought into her two opening night looks — one for the gala screening of Le Tete Haute and another for the L'Oreal-sponsored afterparty at Gotha Club in nearby Palm Beach.
"Luckily, I have a very very talented stylist, armed and ready," Kloss told THR at the afterparty during the three-course dinner prepared by Bruno Oger, name-checking Angel in a moment of gratitude. "You have to come prepared, it's the most glamorous red carpet of all year."
And she's right. For the world premiere of the film, which drew fashion stars and L'Oreal colleagues like Julianne Moore and Naomi Watts, Kloss picked a Versace couture dress (complemented with de Grisogono bling) that is part jumpsuit, part dress. "I'm very honored to be here and I wanted a very strong look. The dress had this material that caught the light like a disco ball and it's very eye-catching. It's something special for the first night."
As for the afterparty, the Chicago-born beauty changed into a strapless Dior. "This is a much more comfortable Dior," she said, adding that she's facing discomfort in the coming days over what her future Cannes looks will be. "I have two more nights I’m here next week, so I’m going home in between for work in New York. I’ll be back next week, but I am losing sleep over what I’m going to pull together next week."
