Brooklyn breakout Emory Cohen and It Follows star Maika Monroe are attached to thriller Stockholm.

Matt Spicer will direct the 1970s-set film, which centers on a loner who holds a bank hostage and then ends up falling for one of his hostages. At the same time, on the outside, a therapist is called in to help negotiate the situation.

Jordan Horowitz, Julia Godzinskaya and Sophie Vickers are producing, and Altitude is selling the package in Cannes. Spicer, who wrote the short It's Not You It's Me, also wrote the script for Stockholm.

Cohen and Monroe recently worked together on Hot Summer Nights, which is in postproduction. Cohen was most recently seen in Brooklyn opposite Saoirse Ronan, and Vincent N Roxxy with Emile Hirsch and Zoe Kravitz. His upcoming films include Netfix’s War Machine with Brad Pitt and Shot Caller with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. He's repped by CAA, Harvest Talent Management and Jackoway Tyerman.

After her critically praised work in horror film It Follows, Monroe will next be seen in Peter Landesman’s Felt starring Liam Neeson and Roland Emmerich's sequel Independence Day: Resurgence. She is repped by WME, Luber Roklin Entertainment and Felker Toczek.
