Cannes: Michael Keaton Boards 'Goodrich' From 'Home Again' Director
Rocket Science is financing and selling international territories on the drama about a man who, after his second wife leaves him, seeks help from his adult daughter to help raise his twin kids.
Birdman and Spotlight star Michael Keaton has signed on to play the lead in Goodrich, a family drama from Home Again director Hallie Meyers-Shyer.
Keaton will play the titular lead, Andy Goodrich, who seeks the help of his adult daughter to raise his young twins after his second wife leaves him. Meyers-Shyer penned the screenplay.
Rocket Science will finance and handle international sales on the project and will be introducing it to buyers in Cannes. CAA Media Finance and ICM Partners, which helped arrange financing for the film, will co-represent U.S. rights on Goodrich.
Former Sony Pictures boss Amy Pascal (Ghostbusters, Molly’s Game) will produce Goodrich through her Pascal Pictures, together with Keaton and Meyers-Shyer. Principal photography is set to start this fall.
Rocket Science has an impressive slate heading into the Cannes film market this year, with such projects as Ana Lily Amirpour’s female-led reboot of action feature Cliffhanger and Azazel Jacobs’ French Exit, starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Lucas Hedges and Tracy Letts.
