Cannes’ hardiest networking nightcrawlers know that, despite all those screenings to attend and meetings to make come morning, sleep is for the plane ride home. As always, a few of the finest parties already are attracting interest.

The ne plus ultra of parties, the bash aboard Paul Allen’s super-yacht Octopus is rumored to take place May 19.

Worldview and The Weinstein Co., which announced a five-year financing, distribution and sales partnership May 7, are hosting a three-night hulla­baloo May 16-18 at the Bungalow 8 pop-up along rue Mace. Grandmaster Flash is slated to perform.

Lionsgate will host its Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 blowout for international distributors May 17 at a private villa in Cap d’Antibes. And on May 19, Mockingjay co-star Evan Ross (son of Diana), hosts a fete on the yacht Mojo with fiancee Ashlee Simpson.

On May 17, billionaire art collector Johnny Pigozzi will throw another of his annual for-the-hell-of-it daytime affairs at his quirkily designed home, Villa Dorane, in Cap d’Antibes. 

Participant’s Jeff Skoll and Jim Berk will celebrate their company’s 10th anniversary with a fete on the Oasis yacht May 18.

Chopard, which infamously lost $1 million in jewels at last year’s festival due to theft, isn’t missing a beat this year, with a dinner May 19.

Busta Rhymes will headline club Gotha at Pointe Croisette on May 17.

Jewelry firm De Grisogono is throwing a femme-fatale-themed formal dinner at the du Cap’s Eden-Roc restaurant May 20. 

Then, on May 22, it’s the black-tie biggie: amfAR at the du Cap. This year expected attendees include Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Sharon Stone, Julianne Moore, Jane Fonda, Lana Del Rey, Robin Thicke, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and John Travolta.
