Rosario Dawson and Adrien Brody also turned up at the Hotel du Cap on Tuesday night.

CANNES – Cote d’Azur time means late dinners and even later nights, and DeGrisogono’s annual Fatale in Cannes fete certainly stuck to that schedule. Doors opened about half an hour after the invitation time, and Sharon Stone had to have a police escort to arrive in time for the fashion show -- a delay caused by spending the afternoon sunning on Eva Cavalli’s yacht.

No matter, guests parted like the Red Sea when Stone made her entrance in a Roberto Cavalli dress and more than $2 million worth of jewels. She held court with brand founder Fawaz Gruosi like they were the king and queen of the Hotel du Cap -- after all, she was the first celebrity to wear the then-fledgling brand in Cannes 20 years ago.

Amber Heard, Rosie Huntington Whitely and Kelly Rutherford were among those who watched the fashion show that had each model paired up with a bodyguard on the runway, which made for interesting viewing. The company is certainly not risking a repeat of last year when a $2 million necklace went missing from a model during the party.

“I’m from Texas, the bigger the better,” Heard said about the huge yellow diamond rock that matched her Vionnet dress.

Cara Delevingne, Adrien Brody, Justin Bieber, Cheryl Cole, Antonio BanderasHarvey Weinstein and producer Lawrence Bender all made it in time for the poolside afterparty on the edge of the Mediterranean.

Rosario Dawson talked about the buzzed-about buzz cut she’s currently sporting. “I just cut it a week or two weeks ago. It’s exciting, it’s perfect for the summer," she said. A week of nearly nonstop events was taking its toll, however. “I’m already starting to lose my voice, I’ll probably be whispering by the time I get to Friday.”
