Claudia Myers ('Fort Bliss') will direct from a screenplay she wrote.

Zosia Mamet is moving from Girls to Girl.

The actress, whose six-season run on the HBO series just came to an end, will star opposite Scott Speedman in the romance drama Shadow Girl.

Claudia Myers (Fort Bliss) will direct from a screenplay she wrote. The story centers on Holly, who has faded to the point of becoming literally invisible after the death of her mother. After more than a decade of solitude and toiling in the shadows as a paparazzi photographer, she meets Shane (Speedman), a down-on-his-luck former mixed martial arts champion and the one person who can see her.

Minka Kelly and Jim Gaffigan round out the cast. Myriad Pictures will introduce the film to foreign buyers at the Cannes market.

Speedman, who stars on the TNT crime series Animal Kingdom, will train with Anderson Silva’s renowned MMA coach Marco Morales, and the fight scenes will be coordinated by veteran fight choreographer Vince Cupone.

Shadow Girl will be produced by HIPZEE’s Tara Sickmeier and Rob Baunoch alongside Boundary Stone’s Mark Schacknies and Khris Baxter. Myriad president Kirk D’Amico will serve as executive producer.

“Claudia has written a uniquely original story with strong, fully developed characters,” said D’Amico. “We believe that together with Scott, Zosia and the rest of the cast that she will bring her ultimately romantic vision to the big screen in a beautiful way.”

The deal was negotiated by Myriad’s Kevin Forester, Audrey Delaney and Lisa Gutberlet, with Ben Feldman of Feldman, Golinski, Reedy + Ben-Zvi representing the filmmakers.
