The iconic 'Star Wars' actress is now stable after going into cardiac arrest while on board an L.A.-bound flight on Friday.

Carrie Fisher, most well-known for her iconic role as Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy, suffered a heart attack Friday while on a flight from London to Los Angeles. She was transported to UCLA Medical Center and was "out of the emergency room" when THR spoke to her brother Todd Fisher on Friday night.

She was being treated in an intensive care unit through the weekend and on Sunday, Christmas Day, her mother Debbie Reynolds tweeted that Fisher was in stable condition.

Best-known for her work in Star Wars, Fisher has had an acting career that spans four decades, with roles in such films as When Harry Met Sally and appearances on TV series like 30 Rock.

When the news broke that Fisher went into cardiac arrest, many of her Hollywood friends and co-stars took to social media to send their thoughts and love and to say that the Force is with Fisher during this time.

"I'm shocked and saddened to hear the news about my dear friend," Harrison Ford told The Hollywood Reporter on Saturday morning about his longtime Star Wars co-star. "Our thoughts are with Carrie, her family and friends."
