Cartoon Network picks up two new comedies

Cable channel orders more 'Flapjack' episodes

Cartoon Network has greenlit two new animated comedies, "Regular Show" and "Horrorbots," plus picked up additional episodes for "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack."

"Regular Show" is created by J. G. Quintel, surreal comedy about two bored groundskeepers, Mordecai (a six-foot-tall blue jay) and Rigby (a hyperactive raccoon). "Horrorbots" is about two teenage robots going to high school and is from Michael Buckley and Joe Deasy.

Cartoon Network will also produce more episodes of "Flapjack," bringing the total number of half-hours to 46. The network has also ordered some additional scripts for "Adventure Time."
