Carven Appoints New Artistic Directors
Alexis Martial and Adrien Caillaudaud will present their first collection at Paris Fashion Week.
Following Guillaume Henry's exit last September, Carven has named Alexis Martial and Adrien Caillaudaud as artistic directors of the brand's women's collection. The pair will debut their fall 2015 collection at Paris Fashion Week on March 5.
Martial, who comes to Carven from his position as creative director of Italian brand Iceberg, started his career at Givenchy in 2007, working as a knitwear designer on the ready-to-wear and couture collections. Caillaudaud also spent time at Givenchy, working on the shoe and accessories collection.
Carven CEO Henri Sebaoun said in a release, "We warmly welcome Alexis and Adrien to Carven as we continue to define a Parisian and new elegance for the woman of today. We look forward to the overall creative vision they will bring to the world of Carven." In a joint statement the duo said, "We are thrilled to be joining this highly creative Parisian design house. Carven is a brand that conveys a beautiful sense of femininity and freshness that we look forward to continuing into the next era."
