CBS dominates Thursday with 'CSI' repeats

NEW YORK -- Two hours of repeat "CSI" made the reality battle between Fox, NBC and ABC somewhat moot, as CBS won all three hours in viewership and adults 18-49.

The first hour of "CSI" (9.1 million, 2.4/8) wasn't anything to write home about, but it was still higher than the competition, according to preliminary estimates released Thursday by Nielsen Media Research. "CSI" had no trouble defeating the first hour of "Clash of the Choirs" (8.1 million, 2.3/7) or Fox's "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" (7.6 million, 2.1/7). "Clash" was near its weeklong performance and rose 32% in the demo between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The second hour of "CSI" (11.2 million, 3.2/9) was the top show on television, Nielsen said.

ABC wasn't a factor with an hour of "Duel" (6.4 million, 1.9/5) plus repeats of "Grey's Anatomy" (5.8 million, 1.9/5) and "Private Practice" (5.1 million, 1.7/5). An hour of "Office" repeats (4.7 million, 1.9/6) came in second in adults 18-49 against a repeat "Without a Trace" (11.5 million, 2.8/8).

CBS (10.6 million, 2.8/8) won the night against ABC (5.8 million, 1.9/5), NBC (6.9 million, 2.2/6); Fox (7.4 million, 2.3/7); and the CW (1.9 million, 0.8/2).
