CBS' 'Hitched' lands two actors

Kristin Kreuk, Jack Carpenter take lead roles in comedy pilot

Former "Smallville" star Kristin Kreuk and Jack Carpenter have been tapped as the leads on Josh Schwartz's comedy pilot for CBS, "Hitched."

The ensemble project, which Schwartz co-wrote with Matt Miller, centers on a newlywed couple (Kreuk, Carpenter) dealing with their family and friends.

Eugene Levy was recently cast to play the groom's dad, a tracksuit-wearing four-times-divorced lothario, on the Warner Bros. TV-produced pilot.

This season, Kreuk has been recurring on NBC's "Chuck" as Chuck's (Zachary Levi)  new computer wiz girlfriend.

Carpenter, whose credits include "I Love You Beth Cooper" and "Sydney White," is repped by ICM and MJ Management.
