CBS promotes Noriko Gee

Will schedule primetime, specials, films

CBS executive Noriko Gee has been promoted to vp programming planning and scheduling at the network.

In her new position, Gee will be responsible for scheduling CBS primetime series, specials and movies, as well as contribute to the CW's schedule.

She'll report to senior executive vp Kelly Kahl.

"Noriko is one of the brightest young minds in our profession," Kahl said. "We're very happy to recognize her terrific work at CBS with this promotion."

Gee had been a director since 2007 and has played a role in the network's scheduling moves such as putting "The Mentalist" on Thursdays and moving "The Big Bang Theory" to 9:30 p.m. on Mondays. She began her career as an intern at the network in 2001.
