CBS Television Distribution Promotes Exec Pair

Steven A. LoCascio climbs to COO as Stephen Hackett is named president of sales.

On the heels of Paul Franklin's appointment Wednesday as the new president of CBS Television Distribution, the group has upped two executives.

Per CTD, Steven A. LoCascio has been named COO and Stephen Hackett has been upped to president of sales. Ten-year veterans of the company, the pair climb from the posts of executive vp/CFO and executive vp/national sales manager, respectively.

Both will report to Franklin, who comes to CTD after a 10-year stint as executive vp and general sales manager of 20th TV and MyNetworkTV. The three will now lead a syndicated portfolio that includes such long-running programs as Judge Judy, Dr. Phil, Entertainment Tonight, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. CTD also provides a pipeline of off-net fare (70,000 hours of programming) from CBS TV Studios to the broadcast syndication market.

Joining CTD as part of the 2006 King World and CBS Paramount Domestic Television merger, LoCascio had previously been with King World Productions since 1995.

Hackett, who joined CTD in 2007, succeeds Joe DiSalvo. The latter will transition to an advisor role with the company.
