CCTV names Olympic partners


HONG KONG -- China Central Television, Internet and mobile phone broadcasting rights holder for the Beijing Olympic Games 2008, will share the wealth with MySpace China and popular online video site, the statecaster said Wednesday. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. will take advantage of MySpace's Chinese division to build an Olympics-themed social networking platform for Olympians, judges, coaches, officials and fans. It marks a victory for the Beijing-based MySpace China, in which parent company News Corp. holds less than a 50% stake. The site started operation only last year and is still in the early stages of building its user base., China's most popular online video site, will join to offer highlight videos and commentary for the Games. Tudou is one of the fastest-growing sites on the Web, attracting more than 6 million individual users each week, Nielsen Netratings reported in July 2007.
